SEASONAL HOLIDAY DECORATOR

Do you love Christmas? Is Whoville your happy place?

We design and install festive décor and live plant displays for commercial clients. We have an opportunity for a Seasonal Display Assistant as we prepare for the upcoming festive decorating season.

Key tasks:

• Assist the department supervisor with décor organization, preparation, production and decorating.
• Receive and unpack shipments of holiday decor.
• Assist with the installation of special seasonal displays such as holiday décor and blooming plant installations.

Other duties may include:

• Assist with special projects and work orders, typically horticultural in nature.
• Assist other departments with general core business such as plant preparation, installing replacements, horticultural maintenance and installations.

The following qualifications are essential:

• Clean, valid Alberta driver’s licence.
• Must be able to work weekends through the month of November.

The ideal candidate has a good eye for detail, spacing and design. Our commercial production schedule requires a quick and focused team member. Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and a mature outlook. Must be able to lift 30lbs and not be afraid to get hands dirty!

We have some flexibility to offer casual part-time or full-time employment for the right candidate. The initial term of the contract runs from October to December 2024. Further opportunities into the new year may be available. Starting rate of pay $21/hour.
